Begin— Just as You Are

Walking into a yoga studio for the first time (or the first time in a long while) can feel vulnerable.
Questions come up. Hesitation. Wondering if you’ll fit in.

At Yogadāna, you don’t need to be flexible, experienced, or “in shape.”
You just need to arrive.

Our community is made up of real people — parents, working professionals, local business owners, retirees, men and women — all at different stages of life and practice. What they share is a desire to feel better in their bodies, calmer in their minds, and more supported in their day-to-day lives.

Kindness, patience, and respect for one another are part of the practice here.

What Makes This Space Different
Yogadāna isn’t about pushing, performing, or keeping up.

Our classes are designed to:

  • Support the nervous system
  • Honor the body you’re in today
  • Encourage steady, sustainable practice
  • Create space for rest, strength, and presence

You’ll see students resting when they need to, modifying poses, laughing quietly before class, and greeting one another by name. Teachers offer options, not pressure. Rest is welcomed. Listening to your body is encouraged.
This is a space where practice grows over time — not all at once.

How to Begin (and Begin Well)
We recommend starting with classes guided by the Integrate + Align ⛰️ and Rest + Receive 🌙 currents.
These currents offer a balance of gentle effort and deep ease — helping your body build strength gradually while allowing your nervous system to settle. Beginning here creates a strong foundation and supports long-term practice without burnout or injury.

As confidence grows and you feel more at home in your body (and within the community), many students naturally explore other classes, workshops, and challenges.

There is no rush.

New Student Workshop ✨
If you’d like a little more guidance, our New Student Workshop is a wonderful place to start.

This experience is designed for those who are new to yoga or returning after time away. You’ll be introduced to our approach, experience gentle movement and breathwork, and learn how our class structure works — so you can choose classes with clarity and confidence moving forward.

It’s welcoming, supportive, and grounded — just like the studio itself.

What to Expect Your First Visit

  • We highly recommend you come a bit early. Classes do start promptly at the listed time and we do lock the door once we start to avoid interruption.
  • Wear comfortable clothing you can move in
  • Mats and props are available in the studio. If you have your own then please bring them
  • You’re always welcome to rest, pause, or modify

There is no “right” way to practice here. Showing up is enough.
Whether you come once a week or every day…
Whether you’re moving gently or building strength…
Whether you’re seeking community, rest, or reconnection…
We would love to have you in our community!
